Having been a fan of the medium since childhood,it wasn't until she received an invitation to design an indie feature film that her journey really began.

Since then, Florence has designed costumes on a variety of MOW's, short films and full length features.

Most recently Florence was nominated 

​​

In 2015, she won the Leo for Best Costume Design on a Feature Film for a project entitled "Eadweard", a period drama that tells the story of Eadweard Muybridge.

 

The same year, she was also nominated for a Leo for Best Costume Design in a Short Film for project entitled "Bedbugs: a musical Lovestory"

Recently, she has designed the alcliamed feature film "Public Schooled" starring Judy Greer and Russell Peters, and "Summer of 84" a period thriller which premired at Sundance Film Festival this year.

She has continued to work in the world of film and TV as a breakdown artist and assistant designer on such projects as "Wayward Pines" "Timeless" and "Dark Harvest"
